This picture is of two sisters of the Anaheim church and myself conducting what I call a community outreach study, at an area Kentucky Fried Chicken in Anaheim, Tuesday afternoon.
Community outreach studies are brethren assembling in public places for Bible study while placing some sort of hand written sign on the table inviting people to either join their study or ask them about Bible study. Such studies have generated contacts for personal Bible study in Colorado Springs, CO, Raytown, MO (Kansas City area) and Kirksville, MO.
Participants at this study were, left to right: Andrea Stundtner, Janice Shelton and Jeff Yost.
Are you getting together with brethren to study the Bible in small groups already? Is the content of most of these studies appropriate to study in public? Probably. Could it be more productive to sit in public with a sign inviting people to join you for Bible study, than sitting in your church building hopping people will come?
Do what you can, but do all you do to the glory of God.
“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
