What do the following images have in common?

This new sister in Christ!!!

Saturday October the 31st around noon a friend of my parents swung by to deliver some farm fresh eggs – Marcy.

After prolonged discussion at the door about a little bit of everything, she came further into the house and took a seat on the recliner to the left (above picture). Mom sat on the recliner to the  right and dad in a chair behind. I sat across the room adjacent to them all.

Conversation was guided toward a discussion of the gospel and salvation. At the close of the conversation/study, Marcy was encouraged to reconsider her previously shared personal conversion story (salvation through prayer with baptism following as only an outward sign) in light of what the Bible said about the subject. My folks also encouraged her to join them for a second visit to the Rock Creek assembly near Ottawa, KS the following day and she accepted.

Arriving for class Marcy, my parents Tom and Sharon Yost and I went into the balcony of the assembly house to study the gospel further. After class and the worship assembly, Marcy decided she wanted to put on Christ in baptism!

Don King baptized her with the assistance of my dad Tom Yost at around 1 o’clock Sunday November 1st 2015! The angels heaven and saints present at Rock Creek rejoiced!

Tom and Sharon have plans with Marcy to continue personal studies. Marcy has plans to try and study with her grown daughter. And the rest of the Rock Creek brethren a view to nurturing Marcy further in the faith through fellowship and study.

Rejoice with us at the addition of this new sister in Christ! Pray for her maturity into the likeness of Christ our Lord! And in your joy ask God to help YOU share the gospel of Jesus Christ with one of your friends.

“Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders,  making the most of the opportunity.  Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.” Colossians 4:5,6
