Good day brethren. I hope this finds you fruitful in the work of the Lord.
This report comes at the beginning of a new chapter in my family life and evangelist work. In February of 2014 our family sold our house in Kirksville, Missouri, and moved into a 1986 Jayco 35’ fifth wheel. The vision then was to strengthen congregations of the Lord’s church across the country with short term relocations and an emphasis on evangelism. Our first relocation took us to Anaheim, California, to work primarily with the brethren meeting at 1759 B Orange Avenue. About a year and a half later we moved again to Topeka, Kansas, to work with the saints of the California Acres church of Christ. At the close of that work, we moved back to Anaheim to continue working with the California church. The last two and a half years have also involved short visits to work with the church in Kirksville, MO, Lee’s Summit, MO, and Wilmington, CA.
While still in Kansas, the family began talking about what we wanted for our family over the next four years (Zoe’s high school years). Discussion led us to a decision to extend our stay in Anaheim, moving out of the RV and becoming “permanent” California residents. The decision was difficult, as the church everywhere could use the work of more evangelists. The factors that finally clenched our choice for California was the state’s slim state of evangelist help located in the region and the great need for such work. Praise the Lord for the generous support of the congregations and individuals who make this decision possible, many of whom do not get to directly reap the fruit of the harvest here, but only from afar. Thank you and may our Lord supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; being enriched in everything for all liberality (2 Cor. 9:10).
The last two and a half years of work have seen seven baptisms and revived zeal and work in soul winning among brethren in California, Kansas and Missouri. Praise the Lord! By the providence and loving kindness of God, the future will produce more of the same.
Currently much of my efforts are being spent toward settling into my family’s new rental house and neighborhood. Also helping Anaheim brethren prepare for an upcoming evangelistic outreach in the park adjacent to their meeting house. Please pray for fruit in these areas.
May our God bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you and give you peace. May He grant your every desire for good and make you fruitful in your service to Him. God equip and empower you to effectively share the good news of Jesus with all of those in your sphere of influence.
