My loving mother Sharon Yost of the Rock Creek church of Christ near Ottawa Kansas shares the following evangelistic opportunity she had at her local Civic Center in Garnett Kansas:
“I had a conversation with a lady at the center today. She said she felt that being a good person was all that was needed and I shared with her that the Bible tells us we need to accept Christ as our Savior and that just being a good person wouldn’t save her from hell. That is as far as the conversation went. Hopefully we can continue the conversation in the near future.
Love to you. Mom and Dad”
Yes, sharing the saving message of Jesus includes the impending judgement of God and how to face it favorably.
Please pray that my mom have future opportunity to continue this discussion and that the lady she speaks about here will be open to the knowledge and call of God.
Let’s be willing to engage our peers in spiritual conversation in the community places and events that bring us together with our neighbors.
“Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.” Acts 17:30,31 NASU
